Excellence in Pet Emergency & Critical Care for Dogs, Cats, Birds & Exotics

Veterinary Diagnostics

Pet health emergencies can occur at any time of the day. An emergency may be in the form of an accident, seizures, ingestion of something toxic, or your pet suddenly becoming critically ill. Summertree Animal & Bird Clinic is available to treat most pet emergencies for dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, and exotic pets.

Critical Care

We offer the finest in critical care for pets, including advanced diagnostics, surgery by experienced veterinarians, and familiarity with the needs of unique species such as small mammals, birds, and exotics. Veterinary care is provided by professionals well trained in internal medicine and with a broad background in critical care. Our veterinary support team is also highly skilled in medical intervention and monitoring, for a safe pre- and post-surgical experience.

During a natural disaster or weather emergency, such as a hurricane or flood, we recommend specific procedures for all pet owners as outlined in Caring for Pets During Emergencies.

What to Do During a Pet Emergency

During regular clinic hours, if you have a pet that is ill or injured, contact the clinic directly for emergency first aid and instructions. Of course, if you are unable to call or calling is impractical, come directly to the clinic for emergency services.

We recommend keeping a pet first aid guide posted in your home for the possibility of such an event.

If you are not an established client of Summertree Animal & Bird Clinic, we do require payment in advance (cash or credit card) for all emergency services.
