Catherine Carranza grew up in Texas and earned her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in French from the University of Texas at Arlington. After completing a gap year working as a veterinary technician in an emergency hospital, she pursued her passion for veterinary medicine at LSU, where she focused on exotics and zoo species. She has a particular interest in avian and reptile medicine, as well as a special fascination with arachnids. At home, Catherine cares for a Great Dane mix, a chiweenie, a cat, and a ball python. In her free time, she enjoys film, art, dance, and spending time outdoors. Fluent in Spanish, she is passionate about providing accessible care to Spanish-speaking pet owners.
